Rims4lessnyc trustworthy?

Hey guys,

I have been searching through eBay for rims and came across a company with really cheap sets. Like 80% off normal sale value. On eBay they have a 99% positive feedback but the prices seem too good to be true. Has anyone bought from them or heard anything about them? (For example my rims cost 330 from an authorized dealer per rim, they are selling the same rim and same size for 550 a set).

In most cases if something is too good to be true, it probably is. However, their ebay page looks legit. If you want to take a chance, at least you will have PayPal to cover you.

Just googling them yields a few results, generally "good", like this one:

Rims4lessnyc on ebay - authentics or fakes? - Bimmerfest - BMW Forums

Basically asking the exact same question you are... They "seem" legit and authentic with a few people reporting issues that seem to be related more to "shipping" and RMAs, should you need to...

Yea I am gonna take the the risk. One of the rims costs 330 new from an authorized dealer and it's backed by ebay so if something happens I should be fine. I will let you guys know the results whether good or bad

My money is on counterfeit. There is no way to sell a product that deeply discounted if it is legitimate. You might not care though, so do your thing. Most people can't spot the difference anyway. Until it matters...

ended up not doing it but i called them and they said the reason they can sell it for so cheap is because they buy them as closeouts straight from the manufacturer. But the whole thing just seemed off so i just went to an authorized dealer
