2012 G37X winter setup

Hi I'm from Toronto and recently picked up a 2012 G37X sedan and looking for a winter setup.
Going to using my stock 17" wheels and was looking at 215/60/17 H rated tires, which is a 1.55% difference. Haven't seen any much info on this particular size. Will this 1.55% affect my awd system or should I stick with 225/55/17?
Only looking at this size because narrower is better.

Thanks

That size shouldn't be too tall, especially since it will be a square setup and you won't be driving the car at high speeds like you would on summer tires. There have been X drivers that have gone over 2% off without issue running square. Just want to avoid much variance front to back, and that won't be a concern w/ this setup. But to be honest, if the 225/55s aren't much higher in price I'd run them, the extra 10mm in width shouldn't be much different in the snow and it will be a better mount on a 7.5" width.

I was pretty happy running blizzaks in the stock size on the factory 17 in. rims last winter. It was a mild winter, but my x is a daily driver too. I'm on the other side of the lake from you, fwiw.

I ran 225/55/17 in Calgary the last few years, I'd definitely say look at going 225 over 215.

Doubt you'd have any better experience on your G w/ the same tires, except for your AWD capability. Only plus is you wouldn't be out any cash for giving them a try, so why not

Thanks for the replies. I'll stick with 225/55/17. Now to decide which winter tires.
Don't know if I should get a budget winter tire which I had on my wrx and it was good enough or splurging on some x-ice or blizzak.
Any suggestions?

Depends, what's your winter like? Are the roads clear and cold all year or do you deal with lots of snow or lots of ice?

Mostly clear, 90% highway driving . But because I work in construction I'm out of the house before the roads are plowed. I need a half snow and ice and had performance tire.
I can get hankook w310 500 installed just worried it's not aggressive enough on those deep snow days.

Hard to get a tire thats really good for the nastier days, but sport based for clear day driving. On the sport side, I'd look at Dunlops Winter Sport 3D. More aggressive side that handles little better than a Blizzak would be the Michelin X-ice XI3.
