40 series on front by mistake ...

Just got full set of staggered BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2 for my coupe. In error the shop put on 225/40/19 instead of the OEM 225/45/19. The rears are the correct 245/40/19. The car drives OK but being stock ride height the space between the tire and front fender has now grown even larger and looks a little goofy. Do I have the OEM size put on or just lower the whole car, though I doubt I would ever consider any more than a real mild drop.

have them put the oe size back.. if you want to keep that profile and lower her.. at least go a size wider to keep it within spec..
or swap the rear tires to the front and go wider in the rear..

Thanks it was the shops error so while its an hour drive away, I will take their offer to swap in OEM. I doubt they would want to swap all four tires again if I moved the rears to the front and went like 275 or something on back. Plus at only 8.5 inches aren't the front wheels too narrow for a 245 anyways.

245 is a good tire width for an 8.5" wheel. I'm running 245 on 8.5" in front and 285 on 10" in the rear.

I am keeping the OEM 19 inch wheels for now, so 285 I think a little extreme for a 9 inch wheel. That certainly looks terrific from behind I am sure.
