Caliper Rebuild Kit

Anyone has experience installing caliper rebuilt kit? I bought some Akebono calipers and noticed the dust boots are pinched or not aligned properly. Want to know if it's worth it doing myself. 1. I hear i need compressed air to push the pistons out. Exactly what type of compressed air tool would I need. 2. How hard is it to put in the new dust boots, orings and pressure seals? The calipers are powder coated so I want to be extra careful not to scratch them up when I break them open by removing the four bolts holding them together.
