Spacer Question

Hi guys. I have a 2012 G37 Sedan with the sport wheels. It's not an X, just the RWD version. I've searched the threads and haven't come across a definitive answer to my question. My question is what size wheel spacers do I need F&R? Before I get fussed at (I know this subject has been beat to death)....I'm asking because my rears seem to be more inset than my fronts, which seems to be contrary to what most others report on their G37s. Is the G37 RWD Sedan with the 18"sport wheels somehow different in that aspect?

The sport rear wheels are wider than the fronts, so there's that.

From a different forum:

2nd GEN G35 Sedan OEM Wheel Specs

2007-2008 18" sport wheels Front: 18x7.5 +45mm offset (appx 23.7lbs)Rear: 18x8.5 +50mm offset (appx 22.4lbs)

Most people use 10-20mm spacers for the stock wheel depending on how low you are and what your taste is. Best way to find out for yourself is to take a ruler and measure out how far you want your wheels to come.

That's probably what I'll wind up doing. All 4 of my tires are 225 50 18....which is strange if 2 of the wheels are 1" wider...right?

That does seem a bit odd, the only explanation would be that you've got front wheels (the 18x7.5's) for all 4. That could be the case since these wheels don't come on the 2010+ models but rather the 2007-09's so it's possible someone swapped them over from an older model.

Ok. Yeah, I'm not sure either. The specs on the car from the dealer were "2012 Infiniti G37 Sedan with Premium Package, Navigation, and Performance Tire and Wheel Package."

Looks like the package came with those wheels, in a square front setup. The things you learn!

Go to the second page towards the bottom: "Performance Tire and Wheel Package 18 x 7.5-inch, split 7-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels with 225/50R18 all-season performance tires"

Good info, thanks! That confirms what I was thinking. I'm pretty certain I need 20mm spacers for the front, but the rears really do seem to be more sunk in with the 7.5" wheels. I may need 25mm in the rear. But, I'll measure to confirm. As far as drop, I was thinking less than 1". I want to keep the stock look, just polish it up a bit.

I suppose because the RWD models are meant to run a staggered setup with wider wheels in the back like the rest of the RWD lineup. Not sure why they would put a square setup instead!

The base Journey comes with 7.5" wide tires all around also, but they're 17s. It's cool though, that means I'll be able to get my tires rotated like normal.
