I just rec'ved this info and ordered the STOPTECH Streets from KNS.

Friction:
StopTech > Carbotech 1521 > Hawk HPS

Dust:
StopTech > Hawk HPS > Carbotech 1521

Abrasiveness on rotors:
StopTech > Hawk HPS > Carbotech 1521

I think you'll be happy w/ that setup. There's a product for your wheels that you can apply and is supposed to make brake dust simple to remove, don't recall the name right now though
Nice choice going w/ KNS, good vendor for sure!

For street use I'd just go w/ the best priced, might also look at EBCs.

Which StopTech pads were you looking at?

I had StopTech Street pads on a previous car, and the bite from the Hawk HPS pads feels better to me (old car was lighter too). I would have put HPS > StopTech off the cuff, never did a side-by-side though...

The stopping power of Hawk pads is superb though they produce more dust and sometimes squeaky.
