TPMS battery life?

Anyone replaced the batteries in their TPMS senders yet? Just installed some Sport AS-3s this afternoon and this came to mind.

TPMS batteries are not designed to be replaced. When it fails, you should replace the entire TPMS unit. While you can crack open the case on certain TPMS units, you'll find a big mess of adhesive and electronics, and the chances of you messing up the unit are good.

Industry averages are 5-10 year lifespans for these batteries.

It's a sealed unit so the entire sensor needs replaced if they die. We've noticed an average life of 7 yrs.

Won't pass state inspection here and could be dangerous on under inflated tires if you ever pick up a nail in a tire.
