Going down to 18 from 19. Please Help
I thought those particular OEM wheels wouldn't clear the Akebono's? Thought the wheel had to be at least 18x8.5 in order to clear the caliper. Have you had any issues so far with the set up? Have any pics of the entire car with these wheels on it?

HI, I just did that same mod from 19 to 18x8.5 all around. The one big factor to consider is if the wheel will fit over your sport brake calipers. The Infiniti 18" I bought did not! I had to install a 10mm spacer for the front wheels only. Now I know why the bolt screwed in the rotor is for ... Just something to check BEFORE you buy new wheels....
Hi, Yes these wheels are 18x8.5 from the sport G35 model. They are the rear wheels. The ones I bought was from ebay and the seller was Allfactory. The wheels are reconditioned. The big problem I had is that going speeds between 60-80 I get a massive vibration on the steering wheel. Unfortunately once you mount rubber on the wheel. You cannot return them. They seem fine in the back since its not a sensitive. I tried to rotate the back wheels to the front and the front to the back. Still have the vibration. its OK if i'm only driving around town and not on the highway. Ive given up on going to 18's and going to go back to the 19's . I will probably sell the rears 9" width and go with the front 19x8.5 so at least I can rotate them and have all four tires the same.

Here is a pick of the hubcentric spacer I used. To test out this set up. I put the original 19" on with the spacer installed and had no vibration issue. This proves that the Allfactory wheel is defective ..The 18" G35 sport "wish bone" i believe is the name of the wheel. Will work just as long as you get a known good wheel to use and the 10mm spacer.
Brad this reminded me of something. It would be great if you had an old OEM 18" sport wheel around to see if it clears your Wilwood brakes. I'm dying to make an upgrade, but I don't want to have to add in the cost of new wheels too.

Here's their bolt-on kit
Wilwood High-Performance Disc Brakes - 2009 Infiniti G37 4 Door, Except Brembo Brakes
And the front 6 pot radial mount caliper

That caliper has more room than my Superlite 4 pot so I have little doubt it would fit behind those OEM 18s.
I went down to 18s for winter. After months of research, if you're staying within Infiniti/Nissan OEM wheels, only two will clear the Akebono BBK.
The G37xS wheels:

And the 350z anniversary edition wheels (standard on later models):

I went with the 350Z wheels. They fit perfect, you will need to get acorn lugs.
