Getting new PSS but....

So I need new front tires on my 2010 G37S. Ideally is replace all four, but financially I can't right now & the rear tires are fine.

I do want the PSS, I was going to go with 245/40/19 & when I get to the rear tires 275/35/19.

I went to go see what's on there & the previous owner has 245/40/19 on the front & rear wheels, stock sport wheels. Should this be a concern? I thought having the different tire height than stock would throw off the TPMS, or am I wrong is that the stock size?

Anyone think there will be an issue putting PSS in the front at 245/40/19 & leaving my rear tires til I need them?

Just want to make sure I won't mess anything up, but I think the previous owner may have done that already. Should I replace all four? What does having the same tires in the front & back mean? Were the rear whes replaced & they threw front wheels on the rear to save $

Any help is appreciated, I know I got a lot of questions & I'm prob worrying about nothing, thank you guys

I dont know what the previous owner did...but before you mount the tires...measure the rims.

From factory, the wheels are staggered. Factory sizing is 225/45/19 - 245/40/19

8.5 inch wheels in front, 9 inch out back

You shouldnt have any issues throwing 245/40's up front...but just make sure you are putting them on 8.5 inch wheels.

Will it have the size on the rim, can I use a tape measure through the spokes or do they need to be taken off to measure?

Thank you

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think the VDC will only go crazy if the difference between tires is more than 3%.

Since you already have 245/40 all around have you seen anything funny going on?

I don't think anything would happen under normal driving, perhaps under hard driving circumstances you may get some VDC interaction/lights in the dash as the car will think something is slipping.

Ideally the tires should not be the same size all around though.

I would move the good pair of 245/40/19 to the front, and buy a same matching pair of 275/35/19 for the rears. Sounds like the guy either had it on a awd g vehicle, bought it from someone who had it on a sedan/or g, or is just an idiot.

No, VDC only comes on during hard acceleration when I think it should. I thought the TPMS would go on though but it hasn't. I've been driving this car for almost a year, no problems except the front tires need replaced...man, maybe I will have to do 4 new tires, which makes me happy, but my wallet sad

I don't think I'm measuring from the right point, but there is a 1/2 inch difference between the 2, the backs are bigger, the previous owner prob just wanted to be cheap & got the same size tire so he could rotate them I would assume?

Well thanks for the help, looks like I will put the 245/40/19 rear tires in the back like there is & 275/35/19 on the rear. Thank you for your help, I think this is figured out, unless anyone sees a problem I didn't think of.
