Help G37x Akebono Brake Installation
How do you know what bolts you need? So it depends on the brake line? So if i get aftermarket SS ones when i upgrade, can i use the ones off of the sport brake diagram, or do i need different ones? Sounds like i need to do more research.

I bought my Akebono BBK from Concept Z Performance. $1801.20 after shipping. The kit comes with everything that is needed in order to make the swap. You have the choice to buy the fluid and SS brake lines along with the type of rotors and pads you want. I would go with Concept Z and DIY. The install really isn't as hard as you would think. Hell, installing the HFCs are more tricky then this.
PX wants $400 for the install now. Damn. lol

I paid $300 to have the Akebonos installed and they supplied brake fluid. I feel that is a pretty fair price since the job requires modifying the front and rear dust shields, replacing the calipers/rotors/pads, and bleeding the brake system. I was concerned with the banjo bolts and wanted to make sure my braking system was done correctly without any leaks. I was also worried about damaging the paint on the caliper with brake fluid etc. I figured that threading a bolt hole or ruining a caliper's paint would have easily set me back more than $300. Anyways, I was going to Project X regardless to have my car lowered and aligned so I was able to get it all taken care of in a single visit. I have also run into many shops that won't touch aftermarket parts; the key is finding a shop that specializes in aftermarket installs, preferably Nissan/Infiniti like Project X.
