Has anyone replaced front lower arm bushings?

I ask because I think it may be time to replace mine but I haven't gotten under there to inspect them. Likely going to go with the SPL solid ones. Wondering if anyone else has done this yet.

I've changed out the front lower arm bushings on my G. The only option is the SPL solid/spherical bearings, They make a big difference. The lower control arms pivot so freely now. They also increase steering responsiveness quite a bit. However you do get quite an increase in NVH, so if your really sensitive to added noises and stuff like that, these bushings aren't for you. If your trying to get better handling and a high quality product then give these a try. Hope this helps

Thanks, it helps a ton. I'm trying to get less NVH and hoped these wouldn't be noisy although by their nature I was sure they would. I'm pretty sure there are also polyurethane replacement ones from Energy Suspension.

just a word of warning, poly shouldn't just be applied anywhere; only places that move in accordance to 1 axis of rotation. see here.
I remember attempting to figure out what bushings are appropriate for the translink but I can't recall my findings. JasonZ-Ya has an article here Suspension 101 - Page 2 - MY350Z.COM Forums including his recommendations. the g35/350z and g37/370's translink/lowercontrolarm/etc are different but this link can give you a good info to prime further investigation.

If NVH is a big deal for you, then stay away from these, you won't be happy. I haven't found any poly bushings available for this location.

Have to bump this. BB, what did you end up doing? Were you getting any squeaking with the worn OEM bushings?

Nope. This rattle trap has enough squeaks, rattles, and thumps as is it. I haven't done any track days in quite a while so I decided it was too much work and hassle for regular driving. No, my OEM are not giving my any issues, I was thinking of upgrading but will stick with factory ones for now.

Yeah I hear ya. I did get my main squeaking taken care of (hotchkis bushings) and I'm trying to decide if it's worth tracking down the squeaks that are left. If it's the lower front control bushings, eh. That's a pain in the butt. Thanks BB!
