You can put whatever size you want but to keep all your traction control, ABS and speedometer working correctly you need to keep your diameter within at least +/-3 % of your original OEM diameter, and even closer if you have an AWD G. Believe me, you do not want to be running taller tires on your car, you might clear more bumps but you'll have a whole new set of issues

Learn how to drive with a lowered car. I'm not sure where you did your research from..but everyone knows that h&r and tein s tech are two of the lowest / aggressive drop for springs.

Or you can take a loss sell them and buy eibachs. Or find someone to trade you

I have been a fan of H&R and Eibach for a long time, but I'm glad I read this thread before ordering. I have Swifts on the way now.

I've searched but haven't came up with anything, is there any thread that shows pictures of "what my drop would look like" on various different spring set ups?

Easiest way is google "Eibach Springs G37" "Swift Springs G37" etc, and specify coupe or sedan, you'll get hundreds of examples.

I'm having all types of issues with the smallest of inclines and speed bumps. It's a nightmare. I looked in further recently on this forum, to find that people were seeing a large drop, way more than what the specifications say. But it was too late..

So what are my options? How can I regain maybe an inch of clearance without taking the springs out and replacing then? Also I was wondering if I contacted and complained to H&R maybe they could refund me??

If I do have to buy a new set I think I would go Eibach sport...
3 inches, have you considered you have the wrong part number??

I have a post showing my 2010 6MT dropped on H&R springs. The ride quality is very close to stock but I do still have the stock wheels and tires. With H&R there is no middle ground. Either you will get rid of them for springs that won't slam the car or you'll commit to keep theming, get a camber kit and adopt a lower rider driving mentality. You won't regret it and by the way, my G is a daily driver

Could be possible... but from what i see, HR is the most aggresive. So its likely thats what i got. Im ordering swift, the car is just too low for daily driving, i mean.. I live in chicago. LOL

Its funny how people say learn how to drive with them, or they arent that bad. Well i cant get an oil change at any place because it wont clear the metal lip of most jiffy lubes or whatever. Its too low to get on a lift. I couldnt even fit a normal jack under it. That is ridiculous. Its beyond slammed! i cant even fit my finger in the wheel gap. I cant even run over a BASEBALL!!!

You're as low as I was on my B&Gs, it takes a lot of work to get through some drives, parking garages, those god-awful speed humps (much worse than speed bumps as your whole chassis can rest on them). I raised mine to zero gap on coilovers and am SO much happier, no more stress driving this car
But NOT being able to get into a Jiffy Lube is a good thing

I've fit my jack underneath my car with H&R springs just fine. And all you have to do to fit on lifts is either drive on 2x4 or jack up / or front up a little and it would fit just fine. Might be a little hassle but beats buying a new set of springs and doing the install over again.

Why are you running over baseballs?

Just giving ya a hard time. The only thing you could do is change out the spring.

I don't think so. Beyond slammed is when you have to cut the area behind the fender near the strut mount so the A arms don't hit..

This isn't my ride just showing an example:

Edit: Good choice on the Swift springs though. I have heard great things about them and they offer a minimal drop since it seems you aren't comfortable with being "slammed."

Are you sure about this? I can't see the G being any different than the Z and we drop or raise all the time without issue. He can totally raise the car with a different setup.

No one refers to raising a car though with wheels, it's all in the tire. On a RWD car, as long as you keep the front and rear within 0.4" of each other you'll be fine. It's the difference front to rear that's important, not the total up or down.

Z's put GTR wheels on all the time plus other 20" wheels. OEM base with GTR is going up 1.1" and 1.2" and sport goes up 1.3" and 1.3".
