First Tire Change

Finally its time to change my tires. Its been about 38k miles and 3.5 years on the OEM Dunlop SP Sport Maxx. I will be getting the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 as soon as it is released in July.

How long did your Dunlop Sport Maxx last? I mainly drive back and forth to work 50/50 highway/city driving.

Yeah, I'd say 30k most on those. Overall an average tire at best really. The new A/S-3 should hit shelves in a few weeks.

Sorry to hijack the thread. Can you tell me if it's a good idea to mix A/S plus with the new A/S-3? I currently have A/S plus all around but need to swap out the rears, I am thinking A/S-3, what do you think?

The tread patterns are different. I would think not.

Per Michelin, they can be mixed but only pairs on rear axle.

A little too general of a question. What specific size, model, brand, did that include tax and install, etc etc.

I only got 24K on my '09xS. Some twisty roads on the way to work ...

I bought Potenza RE960 AS ... handling is definitely better but not sure compared to the Pilot AS.
