You might want to post your location and see if any other members here can give you some good shops to do business with in the future. Hate to hear stories like this
Thanks blnewt! You are good man sir. You contribute a lot to this community.

I can't go into details of my situation but stoptech has confirmed the rotors are not any stoptech products. I ask vendor to confirm and reconfirm with photo if they are stoptech rotors they send and both times, they said yes.

Hope this serve as reminder and a cautionary tail. It goes without saying, be selective in the vendor you use. Support the good vendors. Sometime it might be less costly(in all aspect) by purchasing from a known good vendor even if it cost little more. Ask as many questions as you can no matter how trivial the question is. The end goal is to bring to surface what they not telling you or raise any red flags.

Damn, that's a shame. Do you know who makes them, and if so are they a decent product? If not, is the vendor going to make things right?
Bad reviews travel fast on the web, I'd definitely threaten to "spread the word" if they don't want to work with you

And if they don't, and give you a problem, let us know who the vendor is so we can all avoid them. Good luck getting things resolved!

^^Sneakers, there is no doubt that the guys on this forum will support you against shops that rip people off. Nobody wants to be put through that.

Sorry to hear about the issue that you have regarding your BBK upgrade.
Just to let you know...they look good!

I was considering maybe doing the upgrade to Akebono's too...just not sure if it is worth the cost.

I prefer to place my orders from vendors that are here on this forum...knowing that I can communicate with them before and after the sale.
The vendors here usually have decent prices and back up their products.

If you decide that you don't need the H&R spacers, I would be interested in buying them off you.
PM me if you do.

I hope everything turns out well.

I was told that this would not work on my 18" Babies. Looks like I'm going this direction on my next brake replacement!!

I SOOO wanted the BBK but after crunching the numbers I just couldn't do it.
$1300+ for the hardware, another $150 or more for a new spare tire, and new wheels was just too much coin all at one time. If I came across an unbelievable deal on some brakes out of a wrecked G then maybe.
Even mulled over the front Wilwood kit that uses the Journey rotors since these look nice and fit under most wheels, but having just the fronts tricked out wouldn't look right IMO.

You can always just carry a spare spacer and your OEM 18s as an interim spare. I did that for a while before getting hold of the 18" spare from a junkyard.

Or, go the Wilwood kit... all around.

Heh... probably doesn't help your cause, but hey!

Thanks guys for the support. I am still sorting this out with the vendor, hopefully soon, closure. The vendor had since changed their website to indicate what you will get if you choose one option over another. At least thats a win for the uninformed/unsuspecting consumer like myself.
