Infiniti Akebono BBK on a Journey - Will it fit?

I am planning on buying the Infiniti Akebono BBK (Front & Rear with Stoptech Rotors). However, the site I am looking at only says the application is for Sport models only.

Does anyone know if can be put on a Non-Sport model? And will this clear the OEM 17" wheels?

Thanks!

The wheel clearance issue is your biggest concern, IMO.

This is true, I believe you may need 18" to clear the larger rotor and caliper.

If you still need to get the rotors, we have great promotional prices now that we are new vendors to the site.

So the wheel clearance issue can be eliminated with bigger wheels.

Any other issues that I may run into with BBK?

Thanks again.

Bigger wheels or Spacers might work I believe.

Not necessarily bigger wheels, but proper offsets and the right spoke design. 18s are bare minimums, but spoke clearance can vary a lot. There are some 20s that won't clear the front calipers.

Get the whole kit from a reputable seller and you'll be able to retrofit without an issue. There are many threads about it, but look for one pertaining to the banjo bolts as the non-sport banjo's are too long.

Thumbs up Recently Installed BBK on G35X

I own a G35X Sedan and just had the dealership install my set of Akebono BBK and SS Brake lines and they fit with a 18 x 8 +43. The feel a very smooth and the look is awesome.

you need 18" wheels to clear. Even for the spare tire. You going to get after market wheels?

It should fit with a little modification. I have an 08 Journey as well.

Does anyone know for sure if stock 17s with 15mm spacers will clear the akebono brake kit for the front? This would go on a 10x sedan.

They won't clear at the barrel, spacers won't help there.
