Groan...another wheel question
Groan...another wheel question
Hey phreeks,
Been searching but couldn't come up an answer, so forgive me if I missed it...
Getting an 09 G37x Sport sedan on Monday and want those horrifying factory 18's gone.
Plan is 19x8.5 or 19x9 wheels with 255/40-19 all around
Looking for an almost flush look as I'm going with H&R coils in the Spring.
So, the question:
What offest am I looking for?
35?
40?
And don't worry. I'm looking for subtle on the wheels. Not looking to turn it into the typical city Civic.
Thanks,
Jack

Jack,
I went with 19 x 8.5 35 offset for all four. I have Swift springs which are mild drop. I'm happy with that setup. Its quite tame compared to some on here but our roads are crap here so I wanted to make sure I didn't run in to clearance issues. You can go with slightly lower offset(i.e. 32) especially in the front.
Also I went with 245/40/19's to keep the wheel diameter as close to the stock 18's as possible. Google tire size calculator and use that to find out what sizes you need. 1010tires has a wheel offset and tire size calculator on their website.
You can also run staggered fitments, just keep the wheel diameters the same or very close to avoid AWD issues. The Vossen rep told me 20 x 9 -32 in the front and 20 x 10.5 -45 in the rear would fit as well. There are a ton of choices out there tbh. Do some digging on this forum and you will find a lot of information.
Here is a ****ty phone pic of my car.
