slotted rotors and pads

OK guy7s;

Need new pads and rotors for my G37S and FX50S. the FX guys have been no help. I want a nice set of slotted rotors and need pads to go with them. Was thinking ceramic but heard they suck in the cold. we get -56C last winter so pads that are not good in the cold are out. Can ya help me out with some options?

I just got new rotors and pads from Adams rotors. Custom made. They have all kinds of options and finishes and from what I have read the quality is good. I have not put mine on yet.

Honestly, slotted rotors are nothing more than fancy jewelry. OEM vented discs are more than adequate for any driving you'll do, even if you track the thing.

Have you tracked your car? The brakes do get hot and fade quite a bit.

In my case the slotted or dimpled were just as much as the regular ones so why not?

Shumby, I have DBA 5000 front, 4000 rear with Hawk HPS pads, goodridge lines and Motul RBF600 and have been very happy with the performance which has been far superior to the stock S rotors and pads. The DBA rotors are pretty pricey but I got a good deal from Forged Performance over on The370Z.com

The HPS pads are a little more dusty than the stockers and I think that the slotted rotors contribute some to the dust generation.

another option for the G is the racing brake 2 pc rotors. lighter and stop better. no brake vibrations/rusty rotors etc either.

no idea about the fx

have you considered slotted/drilled ebay rotors? If you're doing any tracking, I'd stay away but for street use, they should be fine.
