Question Help deciding with future tire sets

I maybe should do a poll instead ??

So as of right now, i have stock 225/50R18 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires (09 G37 Coupe). They are okay/great on dry, but suck to the Nth degree when the ground is wet. These are suppose to be all season tires, but gassing ~2-3k rpm my back tires would slip going straight from going start or turning when its wet.

I'm at ~15K now and it seems like i have another 5-10K before my tires are gone. Pretty amazed these tires last these long for being rated 260 vs my old yokos which where 400 or 500 rating

Previously I had Yokohama AVIDS V4S(on 02 v6 accord coupe) and they were awesome compared to the michelin oem ones. The only problem i found about these tires is that they last like 20K when its warrantied for 40K or 60K. But it was totally worth it for the quality.

These are a must: solid side wall construction, good grip while its raining, and control(brake/turn). I hate the feeling of a random fish tail. With the dunlop oem tires, I fished tail hitting a tiny pond before(going from 0 to 20mph on a slow left turn), thank god no there was no damage.

The Questions:
1) Is it possible for me to get a wider set of tires on the stock rims? What is the size recommendations? 225/50R18 -> 235/50-18 -> 255/45-18 ? Could i be stupid and stagger the sizes maybe? 225 front and 255/235 in the back? Or just 235 all around ? I want more back grip!

2) Since I've have pretty good experience with Yokos, I'm looking at getting Yokohama Envigor? Any opinions? I also looked at the S.Drive, and ppl say it handles well in wet environment, but the tires were not designed for wet conditions. Any other recommendations? No falkins Just heard too many stories about them blowing up. I rather pony up a bit more $$ to be on the safe side than to be in an accident later b/c the tires didn't grip on my brake or popped.
