Any Exp With SSR Wheels?

WHats goin on everyone...

Any of u guys have and exp with ssr wheels, is the usually a long wait?

im in the market for some SSR Professor SP1 Wheel 19x9.5 5x114.3

I have just seen ppl order rims from companies in the past and usually wait 3-4 months for them to come in , is this what i can expect?

Also should i go thru a website for some rims like this (vivid racin) or a dealer?

Any advice you can give would b great thanks

Yup I waited like 3 months for my wheels to come in. I ordered from a shop who deals with SSR.

I was lucky and bought my wheels off a shop car so they were basically new, cheaper, and no wait, but when I damaged one of them, it took about five months for the replacement to come in, partially because it's a special finish. Keep in mind that SSR's are generally built to order in Japan and take some time to make it across the pond.

That being said, their quality is untouchable and they're a super light wheel. I don't know of anyone that's been disappointed so far.

lol u think it would b dumb to buy rims from SSR before i got the car?

see i expect to get deployed at the end of the year for 6-7 months and im set on getting a 08 g37 6mt coupe, and i just dont want to get back buy the car and then wait another 3-4 months for the rims lol

I would wait until you have something more set in stone when it comes to getting a car. No point in putting yourself in a 3k hole getting wheels if you end up getting a car that won't use them. I have a set of SSR Vienna Kries on my 240 and absolutely love them, SSR definitely makes some great wheels.

They pretty much said it. Get the car first, then the wheels. No sense in being impatient, there are plenty of other things you can do with the car in the mean time. Like coilovers, for example... which I'd say do first anyway. Or springs, but that almost feels insulting to the SSR's.

Not sure that it really matters. Get different quotes from different dealers, and the websites. I have a feeling they'll all be roughly the same though.

Just make sure they're reputable, don't sacrifice a few bucks to deal with some sketchy vendor.
