5mm spacers will always vibrate. There is not enough room to clear the stock hubcentering ring, so you are barely hanging on to the stock ring never set completely.

Do you realize the .1mm difference is less then a **** hair???? I had a spacer co. tell me once that up to 66.5mm still fits... so don't sweat the .1mm And I've had no negative issues with HR spacers...

I notice you folks with the spacers on their cars say that they retighten them after a certain amount of time. Is the retightening something that you should do just once to confirm they're tight, or is this something that should be done every year or after x amount of miles?

Took the rear off and the car is as smooth as glass again.

I thought H&R spacers were supposed to be the best of the best and that is why you pay more for them over the cheaper ones, so you don't have shimmy issues.

Anybody else have issues with H&R Spacers?

FYI, they were dealer installed, and not done by a backyard mechanic.

Any better quality brands out there?

I will not ruin ride quality for looks.

thanks
Should have gotten DRM system from H&R. DRS is designed for cheap looks. if you got 5mm and 15mm DRS. You could have solved the issue with changing the tire size. 245/40/19 and 275/35/19. Even if the spacers are made from aluminum they will still be a little burden to your engine and axle.

Alright ya'll, I'm getting vibration when I drive above 60 miles an hour and it's quite frustrating. I have the ichiba v2's 20mm front and back. I'm on stock wheels and my tires are new (245/40 and 275/305) and I installed them correctly (40 lbs first, 85 lbs second time). What gives?

A lot of guys have vibration issues with Ichiba's. That's why you see so many of them up for sale all around the forum. Ichiba's are known to make horrible quality studs. Made in China FTL.

Not what I wanted to hear, LULZ. So I'm guessing going back and re installing them is going to do me no good?

I guess you can always try re-installing to make sure that everything is torqued properly. However, just keep in mind that the vibration you are experiencing can be related to hardware issues as well.

Can you be more specific when you mention hardware issues? I'd like to know, thanks

All I am saying is that not all spacers are made the same. Various manufacturer use different quality parts like studs and lugs. Some are far more superior in quality over others. For example, one can easily tell that the Project Kics spacers are better in quality over Ichiba's. It's just like comparing Volks to other knockoff cast alloy wheels. They may look similar, but will definitely not perform the same.

Apparently with the Ichiba V2 spacers with stock wheels you need to do the copper crush ring fix.

just installed my h&r 20mm on stock18s (rear only... didnt get to the front)
i drove my car right after and no vibrations up to 85mph

this is what i did. call it ****-preparation or what not, but i currently have 0 vibrations
-after removing the tire, apply Chemical Guys Grime Reaper A.P.C. - 16 oz | Detailed Image let it sit for a while and MOST of the rust should just rub off if you use it pure/nondiluted
-start sanding with 320 grit everywhere esp aroudn the hub ring. try to get as much rust and uneven bumps out
-apply a little bit of antisieze on each lug. reason? antisieze is a lubricant so there is a chance you can over torque even though you have hte setting at 80ftlbs.
- start torquing the nuts in the star pattern 3 rounds at 20ftlbs, 40ftlbs, 80ftlbs. every round i start at a different lug (following another star pattern) LOL

and thats it!
