I couldnt find anything on brake fluid reviews so I'm gonna post up a new thread asking people to leave what type of fluid they are using and some feedback. Pros and Cons please. I'll start off by saying the stock is strictly for street driving, since I boiled mine on a moderate canyon run.

 

Motul RBF600. I've put this stuff through all kinds of torture on the track and it held up through everything. This fluid combined with Stoptech Stainless steel lines is the perfect combo IMO. I changed my fluid with RBF600 at the begining of summer and got through 4 track days with 75+ laps total and had zero fade what so ever. The last session of my very last track day in september I finally started to get some light fading, but my pads were almost shot by then.

If you are just doing canyon runs the Motul will be more than enough. I would consider some stainless steel lines though just for a little bit better feel especially under heavy braking.

 

Like Wakeboard mentioned Motul RBF600 is great fluid that can stand up to the temps that road racing can bestow on your braking system. But really you can use just about any DOT4 or DOT5.1 (factory fill is a DOT3) fluid on the market for a street driven car and be covered. If your still boiling your fluid with DOT4 on the street then you shouldn't be on the street you should be on a track where you can do so safely.

 

Yea I'm going to be hitting the track soon after I get some good brake pads. I think I'm gonna go with rbf600 just to be safe. Also what pads are you guys running?

 

I was running Hawk ceramics but didn't like them that much. Right now I just have the OEM pads back on. I'll probably switch to a set of Stoptechs come spring time.

 

We normally recommend rbf600 also. If you need help on flushing your fluids or replacing your pads and lines to stainless, let me know. You will save on labor if you do it all together

 

RBF600 is all I use. Flush annually for street use, every track day for on-track use.

Mobil 1 DOT4 brake fluid. This stuff is German so I'm not sure if you guys have it in the US.

Up fine, ur rotors are gone too u needa replace them from what I remember, u sure u weren't riding the brakes, is it under warranty still?

 

Yea I was driving it really hard haha, like REALLY hard, I was behind the e46(who had a brembo 6 piston kit) who was also running. I woulda passed him but not enough room, he made me go hard on my brakes since I was too close to him yet couldnt pass. My rotors are okay, it always happens with these brakes, I give it another week and it'll be fine. I just need some carbotech pads with better fluid.
