Will the OEM Akebono BBK Fit?

I have a G37x coupe, and am wondering if the OEM BBK will fit with my stock 18" wheels. I am quite certain that the diameter will be fine. However, I'm not sure about the offset.

I know there has been a lot of talk related to this, but I can't find anything specific to the G37x, only with respect to the RWD models. I have heard that the offset of the overall wheel position is different in the x because of the different wheel hub.

Do I need a spacer in order to use these brakes?

No. the OEM sport brakes dont fit with the stock 18' wheels.
I just tested that on my vert.
I am planing to get sport brakes for my x sedan and i whanted to know if they will fit.
So i toke one wheel off the sedan and try to puth it on my G37 convertible.
The wheel spikes rub the brakes caliper.
With some concave wheels (different offset) will be OK.

So, it looks like I need spacers. What do I need?

Was this on the front or rear you tried this?

5mm spacers is about as far as you can go without replacing the studs. Do I need new studs in order to upgrade my current setup?

Just get some 20 or 25mm spacers all around. Even without the brakes in the picture, the spacers alone will make the car sit better. Don't worry about changing studs. Just get hubcentric spacers with the studs built in!

I'll admit, I've never even looked at using spacers before, but 20mm sounds a bit extreme to me. How much will that affect the steering and overall feel of the car through the twisties?

So, it looks like putting the Akebono OEM BBK on my car is going to be a hassle. What about the Brembo kit from the G35/370Z? They're a little smaller, so replacing the pads/rotors should be cheaper. Also, I'm hoping that they won't require such massive spacers. Has anyone upgraded their G37 to the Brembo BBK from the V35?

ill be putting spacers on tomorrow on my g37x coupe... 20mm isn't extreme. personally i felt a small difference with braking since it has a little more air inbetween the rim and brake caliper on my sedan

ichiba v2 spacers bolt right onto the OEM wheel studs

after spacers

before spacers
