Tanabe vs. Eibach vs. S-tech?

Hello guys.. I have a question about dropping my car? (I have G37S)
I am really close to getting new shoes for my car. (Vossen 082 Black Machined)

I first considered just getting rims and tires, but people have told me I MUST drop the car in order for the car to look "right".

As I get more information about dropping kits, I came up with a question. They all probably are great quailties with different ride feeling and different goals but..

For the set up I am having with my vossen 20's, what is best drop? What I am looking for is good amount of drop that car looks good with similar ride quaility with stock (doesn't have to but it would be nice) without having issues with scrapping the bottom?

some people say
Eibach Prokit is good match with vossen 082 20's
some people say
Eibach on the front and tanabe on the rear is perfect.

BTW, my tires will be Falken FT 452 F 245/35/20 R 285/30/20, offsets for rims F+25 R30 (if it matters)

And its kinda newbie question but what is difference between
Coilovers and Spring?
ppl who bought tanabe says they got Tanabe Pro S-0C Coilovers, and ppl who bought Eibach drop say they Eibach pro kit springs, but they are separate things? do I need to buy both?

springs are just the springs they are mostly for looks and give some better handling, however coilovers replace the everything shocks/springs and you get amazing handling and can adjust the height however you want.

I have eiback pk with 20's same tires as you and love the look, but I do scrape on the rear sometimes but its not bad at all.

Eibach Pro Kit, is a very subtle (minor) drop , it just basically elimates the wheel gap in the front, but the rears are basically about the same (1/2 to about 3/4 drop in rear).

If you want a more aggressive stance, then go with the S-techs, although the ride quality probably won't be as smooth as the eibachs, it just looks better IMO.

And yes, you will be able to get those rims and tires with any drop, because the offset isn't too aggressive(low).

Oh Oh I see ~~ So F +25 R +30 are not the only off sets we could go with our G's? I thought they were only the choices.
Like I can choose +35 and +45, but that means more adjustment, need certain spacers and need specific drop?
In other words, If I go with low offsets 25, 30, I wont have to deal with spacers? although it won't be looking as mean as high offsets?
What is ideal set up for the car? some one please just tell me I will do it tmr lol.

ex_Something like

"F 245/35/20 +25
R 285/30/20 +30
with eibach prokit"

Lol you got the offset thing backwards,

lower offset = more aggresive , bigger lip, more flush with fender , etc.

higher offset = less aggressive , might need spacers to be flush , etc.

Just get what you have in your example and you would good,

"245/35/20 and 285/30/20" are your tire sizes and those are good specs

"20x9 +25 , 20x10.5 +30" is your width of your rim and the (+??) is your offset

Thanks Trese7en for straight up telling me what i shoud go with.
I see you dropped it on S-tech. but if i wanna go with smoother ride, I should go with Eibach? and still will be okay with dealing with the wierd gap between wheels and fenders right?

Yeah eibach would give you a smoother ride than the s-techs. Just slap them on and see how you like it, most people on here are dropped on eibachs.

I think the eibachs pretty much eliminates the gap in the front and leaves a little gap in the rear. I can't say much about ride quality because I don't have first hand experience, but a lot of people said it rides pretty much like stock but a bit stiffer and better handling. If you want adjustability, go with tanabe coils. Great reviews on them!

OP:

When picking out tires and rims, I would recommend picking out a set that will fill your wheel gap better and not be tucked. A lot of people have had issues with spacers and vibration, so if you could just order the proper spec wheels in the first place, you wouldnt have to deal with spacers.

Also, when you drop your car, you are going to notice if the wheels are tucked in a lot more because the car is lower. Thats why its a good idea to do some research on here, search the picture section, and see what offsets people have installed on their car and see how the car looks.

But on the other hand, if you go TOO aggressive, you might have rubbing issues. It sounds like you are relatively new and not entirely sure, so I would do as much research and search on here and look through pictures before you buy anything.

Also, remember that different combinations of wheels and tires have slightly different diameter, which fills the wheel gap slightly different. You might see a picture of a guy with eibach springs and with his wheels and tires, the drop looks perfect and then you might see a picture of a guy with the same eibach springs and a different wheel and tire combination and you might notice a little more gap in the rear. Different wheel and tire combo's can have different diameters by 1/2, which will slightly change the look of your stance.

I have the Eibach Pro Kit with 20"s and like the way it rides and handles. I had the S-tech in my 350z before. Both companies make good products. The S-tech will be a bit lower.

I already rub with my Eibachs in the rear. Not bad but a decent bump will do the trick every time.

Tanabe and eibach can't go wrong... especially with all the reviews here with tanabes.

I never tried S-Tech, But Tanabe are softer than Eibach, I have tried both. the rear tanabes are progressive, but they feel linear to me, the handling is actually worst than stock springs. but with your offsets, and 285 tire, as I mentioned before, you are not going to fit those in there. I have tanabe rear and 285 tires same offsets and there is no more room and I had to relocate my bumper bracket, shaving it wouldnt do the job.
