People's Thoughts!

I'm starting a new wheel company and I was hoping to get some feedback from you guys and gals.

1) What issues have you had with purchasing wheels?
2) What went well with the purchase?
3) If you could change anything about your experience, what would it be?

My goal is to create a wheel company that is trustworthy, reliable and delivers the highest quality wheel. Thanks in advance for all your help and comments.

All the forged companies have wheels that look the same, be unique and you shall be successful like the new concave design

Better communication with status especially if a custom order and not just an instock wheel.

None of the other wheel companies want to give me free wheels to rock out.

Most of the problems had by members so far have to do with customer service. Things like deadlines that are never met, everyone throws the blame on the other party, organizational issues etc..

And +2 on the unique design! If you can handle those two issue right, then you'll be rocking!

My main goal is to be honest to you guys, if an order is going to take longer than expected, you'll be receiving a detailed phone call letting you know what's going on. That's one of the biggest issues I think these days, orders not coming in on time. This is great feedback!

+1, communication is key.

Quality + economical is a big one too. You want to deliver quality but at the same time, make it affordable for many.

+1 also on the unique designs, this is what will seperate you from the other companies out there. Then you know you made it when you see replicas of your wheels made by other companies.

I have a couple manufacturers I'm looking into. Right now for me it's not cost effective to purchase all of the equipment to produce the wheels. I'm a designer and my passion is wheel styling. So be on the look out for some unique stuff. I'll keep you guys posted on my progress. I have about 9 designs right now, but I'm only probably going to release 4 and then add on later. The 4 designs will probably consist of a 5 bar, 6 bar, 10 bar and maybe a unique mesh design.

Quick delivery
Great communication
Go for the most aggressive set-up (lip size, offset) that will fit the car without sacrificing drivability and not requiring modifications.
