New Wheels + Rubbing= =(

UPDATE: FIXED! =) Thanks for the advice everyone!!!

Hey fellas,

As some of you guys are aware of my current situation. I just got some MRR GT-1's mounted on my car (20'). I thought i would need the Eibach kit or something, but the car stands perfect for me.

As i was driving i noticed that any little dip makes the damn wheels rub. Is this really bad for the car? It prolly happens 5-8 times every trip i make over 20 miles. Will this damage my car? What can i do? Any advice would be nice. I didnt use the search engine considering i wanted to inform people of the wheels i got and maybe theirs more specific advice for my case. Thanks Guys! And I will put up pics soon! LOOKS FREAKING SEXY! =)

Danny

Trim the fender lining and grind the fender bracket and you should be good. I dont think its bad but it might wear your tires down faster.

here a DIY. Might help better

+1 as you may be able to get away with just trimming the liner.

Alright guys! I went in to Need For Speed in Glendale, (Where I got my wheels). I would definitely recommend these guys. Edgar and Edwin there are awesome. Very nice and helpful guys. Well, I went in and they trimmed the fender line for me in 25 minutes. No more rubbing! The back are 285's. For whoever asked! They look awesome on the car. I still gotta put pics up! but thanks guys, for the advice.

If you went with 275 in rear you wouldn't rub, a friend of mine is dropped on Eibach and has MRR GT-5's (same offsets and everything), and he doesn't rub with 275 rear.

I'm currently running F 255 and R 285 and I have Zero rubbing. It's most likely the offset of your wheels. Trim the liner and that should do it.

Update: Just read your post bout trimming it already. Post pix

sounds like the wheels have the wrong offsets or possibly tires if you're rubbing on stock suspension.
