VDC and slip lights come on...
So, I was messing with the entire instrument cluster, and steering wheel etc. (I had removed it all and put it back in). I also did the same with the glove box area.
Now when I turn my car on, the VDC/slip lights dont come on, but if I drive for a few seconds it will turn on. Also, it seems like the light coming on/off depends on what slope I'm on, because there are certain spots on my driveway that if I stop and turn the car on there, both the lights will come on before I even start driving. The VDC light will comeon and if I push the vdc off button, obviously notting happens.
Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this, or narrow down the issues? I'm pretty certain I connected every harness correctly, not sure what problem is.
Please make suggestions OTHER than take it to the dealer
Thanks

Well I've gotten aftermarket rims/tires, but that was a while ago. I mean the car has been driving fine for a while now.
Only work I've done that could be involved in causing the light to go off, was removing the dash cluster (the thing with RPMS speed, etc) and put it back on, and same for the glove box.
I had replaced my dashboard, and I put it all back together and it worked fine, then the following day I went and fixed those two parts (the cluster and the glove box) because it was getting dark the previous day, and I just slopped those together so car would be useable. I didnt get any lights that night, but then the following day when I went in to fix them and attach em correctly, I started getting the lights.

Even though you think everything is back together fine, I would take it apart and double check it since you are certain that is when the problems began to occur and is the only "X-factor" surrounding their first appearance. Maybe when you threw things together hastily you may have misconnected or damaged something minor that is causing a short?
