Hello all from Tire Rack

Hey everyone! My name is Neal and I will be moderating the tire, wheel, brake, and suspension forums here. I've been a long time member here but first time moderator. Worked at Tire Rack for 7 yrs and have owned an 03 6MT in the past. Hopefully I can help out with the questions you have.

Hello Neal. I am a proud new owner of a 2009 G37xS 4 door sedan. I was wondering if staggering my wheels would be a good move. I currently have the factory 18" which are 2225/45/18 and i was wanting to go to Vossen 20" wheels. What do you recommend and will it be a good move since i have all wheel drive? thanks!!

I have a 2008 G37 Journey with stock 18' wheels. I have called Tire Rack twice to confirm that 245 45 18 tires would fit this car, both times they said absolutely they will fit with no issues. Is this your opinion as well? I will need to buy new tires soon and have picked some Goodyear summer highperformance that are very highly rated in several articles as well as customer feedback.

It is not recommended to stagger you wheels for a 4wd setup . . .

You should not stagger your wheels. You also might want to research what the 20's will do to your AWD calibration. This is probably a better question to ask an Infiniti service guy.

Why the higher profile? You should put the 245/40/18. And yes, they will fit 8.5 rim with no issues.

Hey guys,

Just FYI, I ordered and shipped a set of Yoko S Drives (245/40/19, 275/35/19) to one of TireRack's "recommended installers". Only after I showed up for my appointment and asked them to be careful with my wheels did they said they couldn't do the install because their guys were too new and their equipment was too old! The only restriction on TireRack's website for that installer was "nothing over 22s".

I recommend that you call your installer before you ship to them and confirm they can actually do the install without damaging your wheels.

I have bought from Tire Rack in the past and had a great experience and will probably buy from the again.

Is there any chance of you hooking us up with a discount code for forum members? I'm looking to buy a pair right now. Sumitomo HTR Z III in 285/30/20.
