Flat Tire
Flat Tire
I just noticed that I have a slow leak. There is a nail in the tire. I have the G37S with the 19' rims and the Bridgestone tires it came with. These might be dumb questions but can that be repaired or do I automatically need a new tire and where is the best place to take it; to the dealer or just a tire place?
I am in Ft. Lauderdael if anyyone has anywhere specific they recommend.

If you can post a photo of the nail location, we can tell you if it can be repaired or not. If it's in the main part of the tread, yes. If it's in the sidewall or shoulder, probably not. Don't bother doing it yourself, take it to any tire shop (don't need to take it to the dealer) and get it done for about $10 or so.

why would anyone want to service something free of charge? they would probably want some money for the service.
Of course it is! The veracity of the advice doesn't change whether someone accepts it or not. The advice is either valid or it is not.
As far as why several major nationwide tire store chains repair flats for free... well, I'm guessing it's an inexpensive way to introduce their service/products to new customers and thereby hope to gain your future business. Just a wild guess.

^i got a screw in mine when i only had 2000 miles on it!! fixed it asap, takes about 30 mins for a shop to plug, rebalance it...
get it plugged from a tire shop like Big O or Americas Tire Co, should be $20-30 bucks. and watch it to make sure its not leaking/further damage in the future....
