Tire / Suspension Problem

Just replaced OEM wheels with 20" Sevas Forged 55 in a staggered set-up with 245/35 in the front and 285/30 in the rear. Tires are Nitto Invo. Wheels and tires look awesome but...on higher speed compressions tire is definitely making contact with something other than the road (suspension, body?).

Has anyone had a similar issue and what is the fix?

Are you dropped? If so, using what?

I'm running 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 on coilovers with a pretty low drop with minimal rubbing.

Your most likely rubbing in the rear with that set-up. I'm only getting 19s in a 10.5 +34 and the biggest I can run is a 275.

Put some 275's in the rear and that sould take car of it, although that's a pretty agressive offset as well for our cars.

did Sevas make the wheels specifically for your car or did you get them from a place that had them in stock for the G35?

like T1aO said, that's a very agressive offset and is the main reason for your rub.

Made to order. Offset is +26mm. Nitto doesn't make the Invo in a 275/30, will 275/35 fit? Would stiffer suspension work?

No, its not the suspension. It's the wheel and tire combo. Yeah the 275/35 should hepl to fit. The sidewall size doesn't really make the difference, it's the width.

Appreciate the thoughts -- the kids needed new tire swings anyway!!! Next up: Carbon Fibre Grille and New LED Dome Light.

man, i don't even think the 5mm thinner width tire will save you. that is a crazy offset on a 10.5" rim.

if you drop the rear AND put a 275 width tire on, you may be ok.

I have the same wheels. I had to run 275's in the rear, and shave the little tab that connects the rear bumper to the car, and it got rid of my rubbing issue.
