Rushed into Tein H-Techs

Because I got the damn mod bug only 2 days after taking delivery on my LEASE...I didn't lower my G35 coupe but I did drop my first car which was a GSX eclipse...I only ran springs with no aftermarket shocks on that setup..

Question to all...Is anyone suggesting or running aftermarket shocks with the G35 Tein H-Techs on the G37? I swore I heard many say the ride feels nearly identical to stock...But now I'm second guessing that...Input on the shocks please...Its a 3yr lease I'm working with....

If I dont like the responses then I'll have a set of brand new never opened G35 Tein Htechs at the old price of $185 to anyone who wants them...

Note to self...More damn research before punching in credit card numbers...

I would also like to know. I'm interested in the H-Techs as well.

H techs are softer than stock springs. Not worth it if you're looking for performance.

I love my H-Techs and have ZERO regrets. If you are looking for performance, you are better off with true coilover but if you are just looking to close the gap and maintain a near stock feel, the H-Techs will achieve that.

Question: Would you guys say the H-Techs harm the stock performance at all? I realize BC Coils are for performance. But do the H-techs help at all? Or is does it actually suffer because according to the guy 4 posts above they are softer?

I can comment on my experience with them... I see a difference for the better. The car feels like it is planted better with the H-Techs (or likely any springs). This may be due to the lower center of gravity. None-the-less it has not reduced the performance of stock.

Would you say that the ride with the H-Techs have become "bouncier"? I hate the feeling of a really bouncy ride.

What about camber? Was it affected much?

Did you have to get an alignment?

Thanks!

You got PM.

Bouncier? No. Close to stock feeling but more planted.

Camber was minimally affected and close to spec. If just doing H-Tech springs you could get away without camber kit. Alignment is highly recommended however, I have not had mine done as I knew I was getting wheel and those just went on last week. I will be getting aligned late this week though.

are you taking it to the dealer for an alignment or just wherever? also after the HTechs settled what would you say the drop was in the front and back (inches wise)?

Having sold or install about 10 sets....all the feedback we have recieved, is the the ride is stock-like, with no bounce. Blackjack and I tore it up pretty good in the mountains two weekends ago. His H-tech's had no trouble keeping up with my S-Techs.

I'd say they pass the performance test just fine......for a spring only setup.

I am waiting on some high quality coilovers to hit the market, like TEIN.

Yes we did and it was a blast! The G37 handled great. I was very impressed.
