Lowering my G37
It depends on what your goal is. If you want a lot of lowering go with the H&R or Tanabe. If you want a more subtle lowering go with the Eibach's.
All should improve handling to some extent. Personally I'd chose the Eibach as they make a great product and their progressive springs are great for delivering a good ride plus improved handling.

I can't even imagine how you came to that conclusion. Please enlighten us as to how Impul's cold rolled steel is any different than any other manufacturer's?
Appreciate the pics, those helped out a lot.. i just posted on that post a more detailed explanation on what i want to do, check it out https://www.myg37.com/forums/showthr...=177426&page=2
alright now i'm confused
i just want like a 1.5" drop but i ddont want to harm the car.. i dont want to ruin anything that i will have to fix later.. i want to do whats right.. i'm no car freak, i dont know anything about cars.. i just buy what i hear is good.. i understand i shouldn't get the $500 dollar ones.. so i guess i'll wait and see more reviews?
Thanks 4 replies

all spring will give stress to oem shock... but impul stating that there spring is made to not give strees to oem shock...( can't trust that though)
so if you bought the car then wait for coil... or by spring and aftermarket shock

ahhhhhhhhhh, so now i need 2 things? i guess the question i'm looking for is: if i get lowering springs would it mess up my car, would it ruin something that would run me a lot of money later on? would it make something else not work? i dont know all that advance car crap your talking about lol.. oem shock? coil?

From the pics of Tanabe's it looks like you are right on the NF. I'm either confusing the Tanabe's or maybe I'm thinking of a different version.

Here is what I have gathered from various recent posts... Hopefully nobody minds. Looks like the drop goes Tanabe<Eibach<H&R<Tein. Thread references included.
Tanabe

Eibach

H&R

Tein S-Tech (G35 application)
Tanabe

Eibach

Thanks guys, I am glad so many have already installed and taken pics to help those of us out that have not. I am torn between the Tanabes and the Eibachs, all I want is a small drop to eliminate the gap and even things out. I am still deciding on wheels, but think I have chosen a set of iForged Seneka's in Anthracite. I am waiting on one more quote but have a great price from the Mod City.
i would just pay the extra money for the impuls...you don't need a camber kit with the impul springs in order to get it aligned back to spec...with everything else you're gonna be forking over 600 just in camber alignment kits...unless you like buying tires on a more frequent basis
$500 for a set of coil springs is a rip off, plain and simple - no matter who manufactures them. You'll need to choose the proper spring that lowers your car the amount of drop you want. Tanabe NFS are the least drop available right now, H & R are a moderate drop. I've used H & R before and their quality is second to none and the cost is half as much. If you feel there is a need to adjust your ride height you'll need to buy coilovers which aren't available for the G yet but will likely cost $1500+ from most manufacturers. Probably way overkill for the vast majority of drivers. Personally I'll probably go with the Tanabe.
How about Tein H-Techs?
