Tire Pressure Monitor
Tire Pressure Monitor
Hey Guys I'm a new G37S owner and I had a question about the TPMS.
In my 2003 350Z i had the TPMS and it would show the individual PSI of all 4 tires. It was my favorite display, I'd watch the tires go from 35PSI cold to 42PSI warm when I was really driving it.
My question is, how come I can't get the PSI reading in any of the computer screens? It seems from reading the manual that the Tire Pressure light will go on when one of the tires is low, but that doesn't tell me which tire and how low. How can the system get WORSE in a 5 year newer and more expensive car?
Any ideas?

There is no screen or display for this, just the warning light. It's kind of ***, if you ask me. Maybe, if we're lucky they'll release an update to the onboard computer that will give us a display, either in the LCD screen or in the display between the guages.
I recently competed in the "G37 Appreciation Tour," where I drove a loaner 07 G35 sedan for 5 days as they replaced my muffler under warranty. It made me love my car that much more when I got her back.

Not to rag on the G35 Sedan, but they gave me a 2004 loaner when they were putting on snow tires and let me tell you, the interior has improved about 500%! I will say though that the G35 Sedan (maybe because it's not as precise) was a lot easier to drive (but less fun of course), it didn't require a lot of attention.
Yeah I was pissed as well, the first I found out the system doesn't show the individual tire pressure. What the hell!!!! If the freakin.. light comes on, how are we going to know which tire is low? Ridiculous!!!

ok i knew that it doesnt show the actual psi for the monitor but furthermore it doesnt say which tire(s) is/are low???? So you just get a flashing warning and u have to eyeball and guess which one it is or check em all??? that is kinda lame - hwo can they not have that if the older Z had it. it's like they think we are too stupid to know what psi is since we bought Infiniti as if only Nissan Z enthusiasts demand attention to detail.....
