Tire Performance Temperature

Does anyone know the temperature limits of the factory tires?

I have a G37s and was sliding quite a bit last night when it was 43 degrees outside. It was a little wet too though. I was going to wait for some snow but it looks like I might have to put my Blizzaks on pronto.

Not quite sure what the temperature limit is, but I think it may have been more because it was wet. I drove to work this morning and it was 35 degrees and dry and I did not have any sliding. Like you I am waiting to put my Blizzaks on.

They are a higher performance tire... They perform BEST when they are HOT... When itis COLD if the tires are not warmed up, they will slide easly... But, if you were to get them heated up, they would stick to the road like rails...

When it is cold and especailly a little wet (gotta watch for black ice), you will have to use some right foot throttle control...

As mentioned in a different thre3ad, I have e-mailed Michelin to see if they would make a Michelin Pilot Sport AS in our size. I am not sure that they will respond but they are awesome in both hot and cold conditions.

Yeah Pilot Sport AS was what I ran on my Z. Excellent tire, but be prepared to replace the rear twice as often as the front. Or is that just me?

Also guys, when it gets cold, check your tire pressure. Could be down 10 lbs. My acura and infiniti were both bitching (TPMS) about tire pressure when it snapped cold this past week.
