Ahh yes.... the old camber-coil over question. There are lots of threads associated with this question that are really worth searching for and reading.

But I wont leave you stranded….

The answer really depends on how much you plan to lower your car with the coilovers. If you keep it within 1 1/2 – 2 inches, you can pretty much get away with just going to an alignment shop that works on modded vehicles and ask them to the do the best they can. As long as toe is within spec you won’t have excessive tire wear even though your camber may be out of spec.

If you go lower and its your daily, then you would want to install camber kits on the front and rear. If it’s not your daily, then you could get away with the alignment idea above (just keep toe in spec)

So, to answer your question: no, not really, but it depends….

I drove mine with about a 2 inch drop for many miles with toe in spec and camber out of spec, no tire wear and handled really well. I eventually sprung for the front and rear camber kit (arms, bushing, etc.), had an alignment done and I requested the shop keep the camber 1ish degrees out of spec on the negative side (coolness factor – plus handles turns real well).

Quick note:, if your state has periodic inspections, then the alignment may have to be in spec in order to pass. Might be worth some follow up if your state does that sort of thing.

Hope this helps and keep us updated on all you mods!
