2011 G37X Sedan. 320mm fronts. Grabbed some NAO Ceramic brembo pads and dropped ‘‘em in. Came time to turn my rotors and the shop said 1.08 inches is below minimum threshold and told me they couldn’t cut them.

They ended up ordering me some Centric GCX Rotors. Turns out that they are fully coated (NS200 Coating which is some environmental friendly paint), and as per manufacturer are meant to be installed with semi met. They sell partial coated for ceramics. Guys at the store said it was just snake oil and throw them on, bed them properly and it’ll burn off. So I got some brembo rotors on order that match the pads.

So question, am I crazy for trying to follow manufacturers recommendations and just install the GCX rotors, or wait for the brembos to come in and return these to them. One nice thing is that the brembos came in almost $30/ea cheaper than the centric.
