Brake Recommendation 2011 G37XS Coupe

Hi All,

Really sorry if this has already been addressed in another post, I searched for a while and didnt wasnt sure on the answer.

I am looking to replace the rotors for my 2011 G37XS Coupe, I have an extra set of OEM pads (I drive pretty hard so buy two sets at a time).
I am looking for a good set of rotors that wont squeal like crazy. Most times I change the pads with OEM it takes for ever for the squealing to go away so I am hoping to find
a good balance of little to no squealing with good braking.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Meh, rotors are hunks of metal (sans ceramic). If you're not constantly tracking it really doesn't matter. Get the powerstop drilled or slotted or solids, centrics have been reccomended, or stoptech has them too. Whatever look you fancy, just make sure the hats are electoplated or powder coated to stop the rust.

Fwiw, the 4-pot brakes will always squeak when cold. That's just the nature of big brakes.

I'm sorry, but in my experience this is not true.

This really sounds like you haven't been bedding in your brakes properly, especially if the OEM pads are making noise, those are some of the quietest ones you can get if they are the Akebono pads.. maybe try a more durable lube (like the 3m purple or orange silicone paste)..but make sure you bed your brakes in properly...

Really appreciate the replies!

I have a local shop to the brakes, I will be sure to mention the concern about bedding them in properly. Though I am pretty sure I need new pads and rotor as the brake light comes on with acceleration and then trips the traction control.
After a bit of googling I think that bedding is definitely the issue. I ordered the Centric premium rotors and will see how it goes.

Thanks again!

The shop won't bed your brakes, you'll have to do that. The procedure has been described quite a few times here, or you can find it on many of the aftermarket brake pad manufacturer sites.
