Anyone try these WaveSpec scalloped-edge rotors?

Hey all,

I got a set of Akebono's recently and just need rotors before I can install them on my G37x - I'm hoping for the best bang for the buck, but not really interested in shelling out for 2-piece rotors. In my search, I stumbled on these WaveSpec Rotors on Concept Z that I've never come across before and have 0 reviews.
https://conceptzperformance.com/wave...1x_p_39609.php

Has anyone tried these? On a G37 or otherwise? They look crazy but I've never had experience with this rotor design before so I have no idea if they corrode faster, etc. As they say in the description, I'd be mostly Daily Driving and occasionally auto-crossing with them so they sound perfect, but what do ya'll think?

Interesting. I would go with the black line out of the 3. Wonder if the claims are half way accurate?
  • Reduced unsprung mass (by 3 – 5%)
  • Reduced rotating mass (by 7 – 10%).
  • Improved heat dissipation (between 2 – 5%).
  • Reduced pad temperatures
  • Reduced Caliper Bridge temperatures

There is probably some minor benefit over most standard brands relating to mass, but they seem pretty pricey for what you're getting...but they certainly look cool

Yea they seem really enticing - honestly the price is just about the same compared to the other slotted rotors I was looking at so I figured they were a good balance without dumping a bunch into 2-piece rotors (EDIT: looks like theyre sold individually actually so they are a bit pricier...)

I'm going to think on it some more and see what other slotted options there are... considering Stoptech slotted rotors as well but will see how it goes...

I do have their rotors, but the ones I have, they no longer make, but are close to their new Carbon Geomet ones. The Geomet rotors are the ones I would recommend (and unfortunately, they do not come in black). The eLine may be OK, but they are more of a standard rotor.
