Has anyone tried the Z1 Front Upper Control Arms (FUCA)?
Being lowered on wide sticky tires has caused a cupping/wear issue on my front tires and I am only at about -1.5 camber. (Rear tires are fine with the same camber) I am planning to get some of the Z1 Front Upper Control Arms to dial out some of the negative camber and just wanted to see what people thought of them. Also the main differences between the street version and track version.
I talked to Spencer at Z1 about both versions the other day and he thought the initial steering response was quicker with the track version, but could not give me any specifics as to the increased NVH. It looks like the track version might also be a bit less maintenance due to the lack of zerk fittings like they have on the street version. Any thoughts?
I also plan to get SPL front end links at the same time as it sounds like my Hotchkiss front sway bar has worn out my "heavy duty" Moog front end links I got when the oem set bit the dust.

The Z1's seem pretty attractive especially for the price point as the SPLs are more than double the price....you've probably already seen it but this seems like an informative discussion on it https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...stalled-3.html
One thing I always wondered about when upgrading FUCAs was weight though...the stock FUCA's are very lightweight aluminum and I presume count as "unsprung" weight...the aftermarket ones such as the SPC's I use seem significantly heavier which seems like a bit of a step backwards...I've never seen the SPL's up close or held them in my hands but I assume their use of titanium must make them lighter but I'm not sure if they're lighter than stock....I'm not sure where the Z1's fall but their design seems to be the same as ones like Kintex which appear to be quite heavy too

Might want to hop over to the 370Z forums since those guys have shared a ton of experience with them.
If you are concerned about NVH, then be assured that it does not introduce a noticeable difference. You know the types of roads I drive.
The arms are slightly heavier than stock, but the pros outweigh the cons. The body of the arm is aluminum. The turnbuckles and spherical ball joints are steel. The locking screws are titanium.

Thanks for all the info. guys. I was originally considering the Z1 parts due to the cost savings, but I will take a closer look at the SPL as well. Those Nismo arms are beautiful, but I just can't justify $1,000 for little to no difference in performance. The Z1 arms should be tubular steel so I am sure they are a little heavier than the stock aluminum, but I need the camber lined up more than I need to worry about a couple of lbs.

UPDATE: I have had the Z1 Front Upper Control Arms (FUCA) on my car for a while now. They are ok, but not the best. Camber is fairly easy to adjust and can be done with the wheels still attached. However, you do have to disconnect the adjuster to be able to spin it. This is still pretty easy to do, but I believe some brands do not require removal in order to adjust. The tricky part with these is adjusting camber because you have to disconnect the arm at the mount just to adjust it. Definitely a pain if you track your car a lot and plan to change this setting often. For me it is ok.
The real issue I have is that the mounting bolts keep coming loose (circled in yellow) and then the arms make a lot of noise. They are easy to tighten up and can be done with the wheels still on, but usually when I tighten the passenger side it starts to squeak quite a bit. A little Teflon grease seems to fix this, but this seems like a lot of unnecessary maintenance. Does anyone else have similar problems with their fuca's?
