DO NOT USE Moog Rear End Links & After Market Sways

Took me a while to finally get to the bottom of this dilemma I've been having.

Installed Koni adjustables, Eibach sway and Moog rear sway-bar end links.

Kept hearing a clunking noise from time to time over bumps. Researched it, found the various explanations but I wanted to point out where the issues are.

Bottom line - DO NOT USE MOOG rear end links with after market anti-sway bars. The overall WIDTH of the sway bar combined with the LENGTH of the end links causes a fitment problem. The fix is to get shorter rear end links (Whiteline adjusted to a short length) or go with stock.

This picture (which was taken from another user here) explains the issue. Hopefully this will save others a lot of time and headache.

I'm now a pro at removing/replacing rear end links Will be putting up the Moog end links onto the classified section shortly.

Did you have the clunk on both sides or just one side?

One side hit more than the other but both sides hit when I went over large bumps.

I believe my driver side lower link may be slightly bent due to me hitting a large curb coming out of a parking lot once.

But there was nothing I could do to prevent these Moog end links from hitting the lower link due to the length of the Moog's. Frustrating.

The link in the photo looks adjustable for length. Did you shorten them at all?

Edit: I missed the part where you note the photo came from another user. I thought that was a Moog link in the photo and saw it was adjustable. The pic in your sale thread cleared it up for me.

Nothing was shortened. The Moog links and the extra width of the Eibach caused the end links to hit the lower link.

I haven't had a problem with the Moog Endlinks with Hotchkis rear swaybar on my 2014 Q60x.
(These are the same endlinks because I bought them from Petemo94.) Granted, I've only put between 2k-3k miles on them so far.

Any updates on the MOOG rear end links? Btw, I'm wondering if you have any experience with their front end links?

As long as you compare the replacement link with the old one and it's within the same length you should not have any issues whatsoever.

It's when it's an adjustable link and it's improperly adjusted(longer than factory) when it gives you an issue.
