Both look like solid products and function pretty much identically, but there is a pretty significant price difference. Just wondering if there's a reason to buy one over the other. I'm a firm believer of "you get what you pay for", but in this scenario, can't figure out what makes SPL more expensive. Thanks in advance for any input given.

 

The SPL's are slightly easier to adjust while on the car and they use a slightly different design from one and other to achieve the same thing. From what I can remember, the Voodoos require the cutting of one bolt that sticks through the fender up by where the arm mounts. SPL's are easier to move second hand if you decide to sell. Honestly, the newer SPC's with the forged turnbuckles have as much adjustment and aren't solid bushings so no increase in NVH. I'm a stickler for quality parts and I have no issues with these once price is taken into consideration.

 

Thanks for the input, bro. I read the instructions for both. Spl has you grind down the bolt that holds the windshield wiper fluid bottle. Voodoo13 actually provides you with a shorter bolt. Can you explain how the SPL is easier to adjust?

 

Once on the car, the adjustment mechanism (bolt head) is easier to reach. Honestly that's a non-issue as I'm assuming you'll be paying someone else to do the alignment and adjust the arms You'll be just fine with either one and if the cost savings is a consideration, just go with the Voodoos. They're a quality product.

How do you plan on using the car? Again the SPL's are easier to adjust and some folks like their locking mechanism better. The voodoo is a jam nut, SPL is cinch bolts.

I have the newer SPC's with the forged bodies and they're even easier to adjust and use the same locking mechanism as the Voodoo's. They've yet to loosen in any way, shape or form so I'm good with either locking measure. I believe they also have more articulation, clearance and adjustment than anything else. They have quality bearings but they are not solid like Voodoo/SPL. I have zero want for any more steering or front wheel placement precision. I don't notice any deficiencies on the street. If I were tracking on slicks, might be different.

The voodoo's are visually more appealing to me, I like seeing the tracing lines from the cnc machine. It's a shame they're not plainly visible.

SPL is just up the road from me and they're big in multiple car communities. I think some of the extra cost comes from GTR tax trickle down. Could also be more costly to manufacture from a design standpoint. Both use quality bearings. I use the SPL rear camber arms and they were very well made and work as advertised. I have maybe 4-5K on mine and no issues.

 

I would use the arms to add more negative camber. My car is pretty slammed and could use the extra clearance the fuca would provide. Really appreciate your input. Tbh, I'm still on the fence on which one to get. My practical side tells me to get the Voodoo13 since they function the same. My irrational side tells me to get the SPL since they're more expensive, which equates to better quality, right (my own thought process and not always correct)?

 

You can get the SPL FUCA for $720 shipped from ImportPartsPro. I've been running my SPL arms (front and rear) for a little over a month now with no issues. I don't even notice any added NVH since my exhaust masks most of it up. It's marginal, if any.

Yeah Kyle will actually get you some of the best prices on SPL especially if you're not in Texas and don't have to pay sales tax.

If you're not tracking the car, quite frankly, I'd get the newer SPC camber arms, the 73005 model, and put the extra $300 towards other suspension mods. You'll still need rear camber arms as well.
