I've heard people say yes and people say no. I know on my old mkvi Gti you had to. A local g guy swears you don't.

Yeah sorry! To be fair when I replaced my diff bushing I had to drop the rear sway and have not gotten an alignment and all seems good!

Suspension geometry will be unaffected so alignment should remain as-is.

Thanks! From the naked eye I couldn't tell if any significant changes happened so I won't be getting alignment.
