Hello everyone,
so I've been in the car scene since i could walk, everything from drag racing to drifting to road racing. So ive been looking at G37 because I want a nice sporty 2 door that Im not going to dump a lot of money into and just daily drive so i can focus on other projects. Anyways how low car friendly are they as in, are there oil pan clearance issues? if I lowered it enough so im tucking 19's am I going to have to by adjustable links for every arm to get toe and caster in alignment? or are these cars low car friendly?
this is my last daily and I dont wanna end up buying every link like i did on this car but i would like to be at a similar ride height. dont mind the wheels they were only temps
They're not friendly from the stock suspension standpoint. You'll need upper arms, rear camber arms and rear toe bolts. Generally speaking, the exhaust hits things first. There's plenty of oil pan clearance.
Since you're obviously a DIY'er I'd go with Tein Basis Z coilovers, and SPC front & rear camber kits & rear toe bolt, should get this all for about $1k. And like Ape mentioned, the exhaust especially the y-pipe takes a lot of abuse when dropped 2" or more.
BTW, welcome to the site Ollie, looks like you've had some fun w/ those cars!
I can make the exhaust work, thats cool about the oil pan but damn i guess i just wont drop it to low cuz i want/need one car i dont dump money into lol
