Tein Flex Z - Unboxed!

I know, an unboxing isn't nearly as exciting as an install and review thread, but it might be a couple weeks till then and I was excited

So I'll spare you a picture of the box. Here is what was inside:

The fit and finish seem acceptable for the price point. Nothing to write home about, but nothing that upsets me either. This is my first Tein product so I can't compare them to previous (and much more expensive) Flex coilovers.

The etched wrenches are a nice touch:

The welds look fine, although again, nothing to write home about:

Two minor quibbles with Tein's packaging. 1: The bracket that holds the brake lines on one of the coilovers made a hole in the box, nicking the threads on the stud. And 2: One of the rear spring height adjusters separated from the "stack up" and bounced around inside the box. It nicked a few other items resulting on minor cosmetic blemishes. Not a big deal, but thought it worth noting.

Anyway, I'm very excited!

Also, I would like to thank Charles and the rest of the crew at b2autodesigns for being a pleasure to do business with!

If anyone has any questions or wants to see another angle/detail feel free to ask.

Yeah, heard nothing but good things about Tein products, and nothing but bad things about how they package their excellent parts Glad no serious damage, and really looking forward to your reviews as time goes on. Be sure to post up in teh review folder when you can. Thanks!

There's another forum member local to me that should be receiving his Flex Z's tomorrow and installing them on Saturday. I won't spoil it for him but I'm anxious to see how well these work and compare them to my Aragostas. Both use identical spring rates so it'll be really interesting to experience the differences in ride quality and control between them.

Definitely looking towards this review as I'm looking for an upgrade from my kw v1.
Aragosta and jrz are the top choices now but the tein flex is cheaper and with money saved I can do a quaife and 4.08 gears.

The Aragostas would have been my first choice, but they weren't in the budget. I imagine these will be acceptable.
