First post on this forum, hoping to get some advice. I have a 2012 g37 Journey sedan with 75k miles, it has been hit on the drivers side (not totaled but hit) and everything has been repaired but whenever I drive on grooved pavement, especially the freeway, my car tends to get pulled left and right by the grooves. The worst is when I change lanes on the freeway, my car gets pulled into the lane rather than a smooth transition... The alignment was done recently and its spot on so thats why I am here for help..

I used to be a car tech when I was younger so I am not exactly a novice, but I am definitely not a mechanic and I did a little researching and from what I can tell it can be any of these issues:

- Sway bar end links/ sway bar bushings
- Shocks/Struts (since its been hit)

Before I go and start replacing parts, does anybody else have an opinion on this issue? Anything helps

What you're describing sounds like a tire issue. Wider makes any road camber and grooving worse

Google "tramlining" this will explain what's going on. Some tread patterns and some tire models are more prone to do this, and also as some tires wear it can get worse.

 

I've been looking for that term... Huge thanks! I was planning on getting all my tires replaced, let's hope that solves the problem!
