Ark grip exhaust G37 sedan

Hi guys,

I just got an Ark installed on G37 sedan and noticed that there is a damn bad drone when cruising especially at low rpm. Is it just because I just got it? Maybe after certain miles of using it, it would go away? It is kind of annoying.

I used to have a tanabe axle back on it and thought that it was too quite. But, this one sounds like a beast that does not get along with G, personally-- it just sounds like a V-8 engine. Perhaps this is the point of getting it? Any recommendations to eliminate the drone?

By the way, the guy had to remove the chassis brace and exhaust heat shield, simply because they don't fit with Ark exhaust. Would there be any chance that this would affect the car badly in the future? I am just kind of worried.

Thanks.

I've had mine on since November of last year, I think. No change except I've gotten used to it. What you call drone I call emphasis of low frequency or boominess until about 2.5k rpm. Then it starts to sing the VQ siren song. Some speculate the extra interior volume of the sedan makes it worse compared to the coupe. All I know is I can now hear the exhaust and can use the paddle shifters.

From: Framingham Ma,
Really maybe I'm deaf but I am fully bolted and I only hear a little at 65 under 3k, but that's if I'm not paying attention and in the wrong gear( I drive manual 100%) never been in D. But before the headers there was almost ZERO. :/

Can anyone chime in one droning with ARK Grip for a coupe? I am highly interested in this exhaust for my coupe and make frequent highway trips. Prefer to not walk out of my car with a drone headache post highway trips...

However, I do want to sound like a badass when I WOT

Chuckie are those the Z! High Flow Air Intake Upgrade Kit? Did these bolt to your intake no problem and did you have to cut into your crash bar? I want these, but I'm not cutting my crash bar.

Can you post the part# you bought please? so the Gen 3's and these work fine? No modification needed and can yo use the Gen 3 splash shield still? do these rest on the crash bar or are they tied together like the Gen 3 intakes?
