Springmount mod/cut bumpstops?

Hey guys wanted to know if anyone here has tried cutting their bumpstops or better known from the 350z/g35 forum as the springmount mod. Seems to be unheard of on this forum. The only reason I asked is because I currently have Tein H techs, and I am just bought Tein S tech springs. After looking at loads of cars with S techs it's easy to notice that the rear is lower than the front. And also the fact the the S techs have a soft spring rate in the rear. I Was thinking of maybe solving this by just cutting the rear bump stop and keeping the H techs on the rear. Just to point out this is just an idea, even Tein themselves gives you a guide on how to cut the rear bumpstops.

It's not unheard of here. Did you search the suspension forum?

I searched the forums and found links for the DIY on my350z.com and searched on google but nothing came up for this forum. Just wanted to see if anyone did it so I can ask if it ruins ride quality

Looked thru many post and this one had a really good detailed write up with pictures. So that should help but if its just a super mild drop your looking for have you looked into other springs that will get you that just right drop? Have your springs settled completely?. If they have make sure to measure properly if you go with this solution. Remember that rubber will compress as well under load I believe. Good luck with your endever

I haven't seen any other springs that will give me the drop I am looking for. H&R is too deep for my liking and the S techs are just right, I just hate that the rears sag so much. On the G35 forum those guys were cutting huge amounts off the bumpstop. I am only going to cut 0.5". Unless I could find a way to raise the rear a little but I don't think that's possible.

So maybe I'm lost here but would cutting any material off that pad make it go lower? You say the rear sags to much. Have you looked at custom spring rates?
