Brakes OEM or Other?

Need brakes for my 2013 G37x Sedan. Is this a car where getting OEM parts from the dealership is necessary to retain stock performance? If not, what pads and rotors are going to be as good as the originals?

For a daily centric premium rotors and centric posi quiet pads are a great aftermarket choice, they make stoptech brakes so the Company is reputable, great prices on rockauto.com

I guess what I'm asking is if the g37 is picky with brakes. With a lot of luxury car brands you have problems or diminished performance with anything but the OE from the dealership

Actually the OEM brakes are typically more prone w/ issues than the reputable aftermarket options.

Stoptech rotors or centric premium blanks. For the pads, Hawk ceramics are good for DD.

I went with the Z1 brake upgrade package, came with pads, rotors, stainless steel braided lines, and brake fluid. Works great on my G37XS sedan with daily driving.

Yeah, that's a very expensive package. All in i'm out only about $140 on the centric blanks, Pro ACTs and hardware, and i bet it will stop just as well if not better in daily driving.
