BC Racing Coilovers for Q60S AWD Coupe

Hey guys, I hope all is well. I'm fairly new at posting in this forum so my apologies for any future mistakes.

I ordered BC Racing coils + SPC camber (Front & Rear) from TH Motorsports probably about a month ago. I also ordered 20mm Front spacers & 25mm Rear Spacers from H&R from CZP. I'm located in Central NJ and got these parts installed at JDS Motoring in Keyport, NJ. (Great Place) about 3 weeks ago.

Just a bit about my background: This is the first car I've done any aftermarket mods to

Ride Height: When Initially installed, the car was pretty damn low. There was probably no more than 1.5 inches of clearance from at the lowest part of the car (Front sway bar). This was too low for the roads that I drive on and I kept scraping the plastic under tray many places. Since then, I've raised them an inch in the front and 1/2 inch in the rear and this did wonders as I didn't scrape on 99% of the roads I used to before. At the front, from floor to fender: 26.5in. At the rear, floor to fender: 25.75~in

Ride Quality: As mentioned before, this is my first set of coil overs and when leaving the shop, the car was very stiff, very very bouncy (The rears more bouncy than the front). I was told that I should wait for the suspension to settle before getting an alignment, so please bear in mind that this review (for now) is based on a car that's not aligned at all. After around 400 miles of NJ Roads, I felt the suspension to soften up and absorb the bumps and potholes MUCH MUCH better. My pre-load on the rear is unknown for now. My impression: It's definitely stiffer than the stock suspension, but I don't mind the ride quality at all.

Performance: Man, I wish the car came out of the factory like this. I have Hotchkis Sway's (F&R) and with the coilovers, the car HANDLES! I feel that turn in is MUCH better than stock. The car response immediately and doesn't hesitate to go where you tell it to go. I'm running the Stock 19's w/ Yokohoma All Season's and it feels like there's endless grip. I find myself taking corners at 70 and thinking damn, that was so much fun. I also feel that the steering feel has increased a bit from stock, and imo, I think there's a bit more feed back as well. Body roll is also reduced greatly.

The Cons: Unfortunately my set suffers from the clunking noise that BC's are known for. Mine comes from the right rear of the car, and I'm not really sure if it's the shock or the spring. I'm still experimenting with different dampening/height/preload settings to see if I can iron this out, and I'll come back and post my findings once that's done. In addition, the right rear shock had it's dampening **** broken (yes broken) and I was bit annoyed about that. I ordered a replacement shock from BC and with the replaced shock, the car handled much better.

I hope this helps any of you considering getting BC coilovers. My 2cents: it's good value if you want adjustability. (But then again, this is the only set of coilovers I've driven on so take that how you will)

PS. I'll add pictures soon and as mentioned before, the findings from fiddling with settings.
