Hotchkis sway bars, they work well and have good reputation on this forum. Depends what you view as expensive. I think it was like around 500 for parts maybe a little more, and then whatever labor is involved which isn't too much. Your cheapest option would be upgrading that rear sway with the sport sway if you could find one like others have mentioned. But if you don't care about spending the money I deff reccomend hotchkis.

Hopefully your springs have settled some more and your alignment has changed enough to cause some of that floaty feeling and the fresh alignment will get it driving more like you're used to.
Keep us posted.
Does the xS have a bigger sway than the x (have the sedan if it matters)? I've been looking at the Hellwig rear sway and if the xS sedan has a smaller sway than the Journey and Sport, for $150 it's a cheap mod for the benefit especially to help cure the understeer on the AWD.

I sure hope so. I plan on dropping it of this weekend and I'll bring up how the car feels. Do you (or anyone) think this could be caused by some kind of installation mistake? I know springs are a relatively simple swap but as I mentioned above, I was nervous about this from the beginning. Anyway, thanks for all the support guys. I'll definitely update the thread after my new alignment.

I was going to stay out of this, but my initial reaction was that maybe your springs are upside down. I'm fairly sure that swifts are progressively wound springs. If they are, the widely spaced coils should be at the bottom and the tightly wound coils should be at the top. My coupe felt planted and stable as soon as I put the Eibachs on it, and even more so after they settled and it was aligned. I may be way off base, but I would think the ride would be pretty wonky if the springs were installed wrong. Hopefully you can get it sorted out, best of luck.

My XS coupe had the small rear sway it was like why bother putting it on. I bought the whole hotchkiss kit for $375 on amazon shipped. If I did it again though I would've just got the rear hotchkiss the front OEM is almost same size as hotchkiss I think it's only 2mm difference.

A friend of mine had another suggestion that got me thinking. Is it at all possible that the computer is incorrectly sensing slippage? When I get this floaty feeling it feels like the car is hydroplaning and is trying to correct itself. I'm probably wrong but it was an interesting thought none the less.

Doubt it, if it was sensing slippage you would get the blinking slip light.

That would only occur if you changed to a new set of staggered tires where the front to rear diameter variance is too great. If you're still on stock size tires all around you shouldn't have any slippage issues with normal driving (assuming your tires aren't overly worn) if you're driving very aggressive then maybe, depending on tire quality.

I dont know if this issue was solved but maybe you might want to take a look at your rear toe.

Only because the number is positive. toeing the rear in will help settle the rear down.

Well, turns out my tires were pretty bald so I got a new set off of Tirerack and those go on tomorrow. Should be all good after that I hope! Went with the Continental Extreme Contact all season tires. I'll probably do wheels and larger tires down the line but this had to get done asap.

Better change the thread title to "Old balding tires trying to kill me"
Glad you're getting things sorted out

Yeah yeah I deserve all of the facepalms haha. First car I've really started paying attention to and modding so the obvious sometimes escapes me in my anxiety that I screwed something up. I'll chalk it up as a learning experience and pay closer attention

Have you already got the tires installed, and if so are you now happy w/ the drive?
I think all of us have had things we've neglected or just weren't aware of paying much attention to. Such is life......
