Two 3 gallon tanks in the rear bumper, but I'd not recommend that. If you et rear ended it would suck.
Under the rear section where the muffler is, is the other location. Muffle delete needed, and likely new cat back to clear the tank. You'd have to do some measuring. That would be my plan.
Otherwise a custom tank to fit where that flap is by the inside of the trunk. Slim tank, for that small space.

Some verts don't have a spare. Pancake won't fit on those I think, but someone's gotta try it for sure and see. The roof folds on top of a maybe 4 inch height pocket area. Anything in the way will break the back window when it folds in.
But with a spare tire area (I've yet to see one on a vert), the pancake should work.

I've entertained the idea of using the spare tire wheel well too but wasn't comfortable with the pancake tank due to how close the glass is....I've also considered the use of 1" SS tubing bent/shaped (over-under style) in the shape of the spare tire wheel well side walls. This would leave the center open for pump, connections, etc...My calcs show it would take 28.3 ft of tubing to be equivilant to a 5 gallon tank. Like I mentioned above just toying with the idea but def think it would work.
Not sure if you are still considering it, but I put my tanks inside the bumper and mounted above the crash reinforcement brace. If you don't like the idea, my suggestion would be the pancake tank option. I'm not experienced on that setup, as theoretically it should work fine, but I have proof that having it inside the bumper works too.
